Where's that bridge located?

Fort Hunter Liggett, Central California. Due West of King City.

The base itself is pretty secure— and active with Guard stuff. But the road is generally passable. Just don’t ignore the signs that say “DO NOT ENTER, MILITARY BASE” on the side roads .

Theoretically the hotel on base is open to civilians. I’ve never done it, but it looks a fun place to base for a couple of days. You definitely DON’T feel like you are in California, btw.

I did a land navigation challenge there before I shipped off to OCS , my fire team won, we beat those Arm y punks by thirty minutes.

I think this is a different one than I drove over recently (Elm at Arroyo Seco). Neat bridges.

USMC Motto: “Keeping the World Safe For The Army..”

It’s a fun set of roads to traverse— and I never knew they were  there before we started to do these vintage rallies. I really do need to book the on-base Hearst Hotel while you still can. I can’t imagine it’s the Four Seasons, but it’s a nifty corner of California that few people know about.

Hell, it might make a nice OPPO meet-up spot, once the world returns for what will have to pass for normal.
